The founding members of U.S. Water Services Corporation have experienced a long and successful history with the City of Port Richey, Florida which began in 1993. This relationship has lasted through multiple City administrations and several plant and system expansions and capital improvement projects. USWSC now provides complete operations and technical, engineering, and process control support services for the City and led the City through a successful Chloramine Conversion. USWSC has full responsibility for the safe and reliable operation of this 2.2 mgd system that serves a population of over 9,000 persons. The City of Port Richey's water treatment plant (WTP) currently obtains its raw water from a 10-acre wellfield with three production wells. The water use permit allows a peak monthly daily withdrawal of 710,000 gallons per day from the wellfield.
- Our services to the City of Port Richey include, but are not limited to, providing engineering services primarily related to water, wastewater, and stormwater operations such as:
- Engineering management and operational services to the existing water treatment plant, the distribution system, and the wellfield.
- Engineering and management services of the wastewater collection system and the lift stations.
- Development of 10-year comprehensive capital improvement plan for the City's water and sewer systems to achieve the long-term objectives and needs of the City of Port Richey.
- Developed and established new water and wastewater impact fees to enable the City to achieve its financial goals in funding the necessary upgrades to its infrastructures to meet the growth within the City's utilities service area.
- Development of new stormwater impact fees and monthly maintenance fees to maintain the stormwater management system and to implement the necessary upgrades to improve the stormwater quality within the City limit.
- Providing the City of Port Richey with services related to water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering design and permitting.
- Contract Facilities Operations and Maintenance.
- Construction and Project Management of new developments within, and outside, the City limit for issues related to utilities.
- Review of engineering plans submitted by private developers and provide the City and the developers' engineers with technical comments and guidance.
- Assistance to the City in drafting developer agreements that can achieve the long-term interests of the City.
- Planning, development, designing, and permitting of a new wellfield to supply the City with additional water to meet its current and future water demand.
- Planning, designing, and permitting the necessary upgrades to the water treatment plant to improve the level of treatment and efficiency.
- Perform other engineering and consulting services as requested by the City.
