Scope of service: Remove and Replace 60,000 sq. ft. Pond Liner

 

    Phase 1 - Field investigation and identification of project constraints.
  • Irrigation water must have minimal interruption in availability with maximum interruption of 3 days to the golf courses.
  • During construction, staging of liner installation and disruption of flow of re-use water will occur in maximum 3 day intervals.
  • Anticipate the project will take 5-7 days to complete.
  • The new pond liner system must have at least a 3-5 year life expectancy.
    Phase 2 - Design and Permitting Phase.
  • Prepare drawings and specifications to portray the work needed to replace the pond liner.
  • Prepare required permit applications and needed documentation to acquire a Monroe County building permit.
  • Submit final drawings and specifications to North Key Largo Utility (NKLU) for approval prior to construction.
    Phase 3 - Construction Phase Services
  • Dewater the pond using the existing irrigation pumps, discharging the water to the appropriate golf courses. We will coordinate this effort with NKLU and golf course personnel.
  • Remove pond debris and sediment to be disposed on site, and clean the existing pond liner surface with use of vacuum cleaning equipment.
  • Re-fill the pond with water from the Ocean Reef Reverse Osmosis Plant and use the water to irrigate the golf course. This will be done within three days from the last irrigation due to project requirements.
  • Prepare the pond for the new liner system by removing any standing water and debris that has accumulated with disposal on site, and patching as needed any concrete areas.
  • Existing irrigation piping will be removed as needed.
  • Install the new liner system in accordance with the design documents, and per liner manufacturer's dictate, including up to two liner pipe penetrations.
  • Re-install the irrigation system piping as needed.
  • Re-fill the pond.
    Phase 4 - Project Close-out Phase
  • Complete small site restoration.
  • Complete as-built drawings and turn over all warranty and project documentation developed over the course of the project.
