U.S. Water Services Corporation, a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction services corporation, has an opening for a full-time Customer Service Specialist. U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a current staff of over seven hundred employees in eighteen states.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under direct supervision, close service orders, lien payoffs, service terminations, review and analyze monthly CIS data for data inconsistencies, complete monthly reports, perform regular Quality Assurance and Quality Control, life cycle analysis, advanced reporting and all other duties as assigned.

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Customer Service and Billing Manager.

EXAMPLES OF WORK illustrative only:

  • Manage day to day completion of service orders for all systems as well as the quality of information
  • Compile requested reports, Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Make recommendations based on trends
  • Maintain and manage the development of the Customer Service knowledge base
  • Filter and clean "scrub" data, review reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct operational inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with managers/supervisors to report correctable issues
  • Identify potential current and future business processes
  • Monitors Key Performance Indicators and evaluates training opportunities
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Assist in facilitation of change management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to analyze and create processes from both the microeconomic and macroeconomic perspective
  • Skill in project management proficiency
  • Skill in listening, assessing, and communicating
  • Strong analytical and validation skills
  • Knowledge of effective business management
  • Ability to think critically
  • Knowledge of data processing, applications, and methodology
  • Knowledge of basic utility operation
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Access and/or Excel
  • Skill in problem-solving
  • Skill in analyzing data to identify anomalies, trends and/or shortfalls
  • Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive statistical reports
  • Ability to effectively communicate with problem-solving as major focus both orally and in writing

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possession of an associate degree, business administration or a related field, and two 2 years of progressively responsible analytics experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge and skills.
