The Engineer opportunity is full-time, on-site at our headquarters office.

Work requires a professional knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of engineering concerned with facilities and systems for water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems. An understanding and the ability to utilize pertinent aspects of water resource engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Apply professional engineering competence with specialized knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems.

Perform work planning, designing, permitting, modifying or improving and maintaining facilities; regulating and enforcing environmental engineering policies, programs or activities by establishing standards, promoting improvements, evaluating compliance and, if necessary, directing action to secure satisfactory results.

Interface with regulatory agencies and divisional personnel to direct environmental efforts in the divisions. Provide assistance with engineering reports pertaining to preliminary design with budgetary construction costs. Interact with outside vendors as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Also responsible for investigating, measuring and evaluating environmental conditions and carrying out relevant research, development, planning, design, advisory and related engineering activities.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related science field plus at least 3 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry. Excellent written, oral and computer skills required. Ability to work in a team environment across multisite organization is required. Applicant must be a licensed Florida professional engineer.
