Meadowood Community Association is a homeowner association owned utility system servicing an 18-hole golf course and subdivision with 400 homes. Meadowood’s water and wastewater facilities are on-site and have been in service since 1982. In 2006, U.S. Water Services Corporation (U.S. Water) was asked by the Meadowoods Community to operate their water and wastewater plants including the distribution and collection system. Every five years, Meadowood has renewed their contract with U.S. Water and is ongoing at this time.
U.S. Water has operated and maintained its water and wastewater plants along with the distribution system and lift stations since 2006. Meadowood Community Association has a 432,000 gallon per day (GPD) lime softening water plant with packaged gravity filters. Meadowood Community Association also has a 105,000 GPD extended aeration reuse wastewater plant. U.S. Water’s commitment to the Meadowood Community has provided them with system reliable, capital improvements, and cost savings in their operations.
U.S. Water provides excellent expertise that involves senior leadership, helping Meadowood in annual budgets, cost improvements, engineering, and design services to improve the water and wastewater treatment process. Everything that needs to be approved goes through Meadowood Community Utility Chairman. U.S. Water has worked closely with Meadowood on projects like the installation of a carbon dioxide feed system that automatically adjusts the pH of their lime softening process.
