The regulatory requirements of such can be voluminous and complex. U.S. Water Services Corporation also attends customer meetings and actively participates in agenda conferences held by the Florida Public Service Commission during rate proceedings on behalf of its clients. U.S. Water Services Corporation also maintains a collegial professional relationship with the consumer advocate, the Office of Public Counsel (OPC). Homeowner Association and Governmental Liaison
U.S. Water Services Corporation maintains an ongoing liaison with homeowner associations and other governmental agencies on behalf of its private utility clients. A utility manager regularly maintains contact with and regularly attends homeowner association meetings at the request of customers and attends governmental meetings on the clients’ behalf. This also includes responding to HOA requests concerning customer complaints. U.S. Water Services Corporation works cooperatively with HOA to offer alternatives to utility capital improvements and/or requirements.
U.S. Water Services Corporation provides accounting services on behalf of clients related to operating budgets, capital improvement budgets, revenue reporting, monthly financial statements, and shareholder reports. U.S. Water Services Corporation provides the private utility shareholders with information related to the utilities through shareholder meetings and financial reporting. U.S. Water Services Corporation also provides federal income tax reporting to the shareholders in relation to the utility ownership.
Negotiation of Sale of Private Utilities
U.S. Water Services Corporation has experience in negotiating the sale of private utilities. Recently successfully negotiated a sale of Lake Osborne Waterworks to the City of Lake Worth at a purchase price of over $1 million. U.S. Water Services Corporation also negotiated the sale of Hillsborough Waterworks to Hillsborough County at a purchase price of over $200,000.
