“Sludge Box” Technology

Our mobile dewatering unit, the “Sludge Box”, provides a unique solution to many utilities that are too small for large capital cost of equipment, yet spend large sums of money hauling liquid sludge. This service consists of mobile thickening equipment able to dewater by a process yielding percent solids of up to 10% percent. This process not only saves money on hauling cost but also reduces neighborhood truck traffic. One truckload of dewatered sludge is equal to 5 to 6 truckloads of liquid sludge. We currently use this technology at facilities owned by both private and public entities such as:

  • Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA)
  • Sun Communities, Buttonwood Bay WWTP
  • Island Dunes WWTPs
  • Fairways County Club WWTP
  • Orange Blossom Utilities
