Drinking Water

Our team of experts in drinking water operations, engineering, and science ensures access to clean, reliable drinking water using advanced treatment technology.

Water Treatment Capabilities

Our services cover the entire drinking water cycle – we can operate and maintain every component from production wells, storage, and conveyance to the treatment process, disinfection, and the distribution infrastructure. U.S. Water has extensive experience with drinking water, surface water, and groundwater using various water treatment methods, including:

Compliance Management

U.S. Water prepares more than 10,000 drinking water reports annually. Reports, such as Monthly Operating Reports (MOR) or Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR), are tailored to our clients’ preferences, whether it’s electronic or hardcopy delivery. We also create compliance sampling plans to monitor more than 10,000 sampling parameters and events annually. Sampling parameters may include bacteriological, lead and copper, primary inorganics, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), among many others.

Project Highlights

O&M of the Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination Facility; Tampa Bay Tampa Bay, Apollo Beach, FL

In 2023, U.S. Water acquired a 50% partnership interest for the O&M of the Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination Facility. The facility is the second largest seawater desalination facility in the United States and uses advanced treatment processes to produce drinking water from seawater. U.S. Water will provide full-time O&M for the 25 MGD reverse osmosis facility for an initial term through November 2029.

Water and Wastewater Treatment Facility O&M; City of Grimes, Iowa

In 2014, U.S. Water secured a contract to manage the City's water and wastewater facilities. This encompassed managing a lime softening water treatment plant (1.73 MGD), a reverse osmosis water treatment plant (1.6 MGD), four water wells, two water towers, and an extended aeration wastewater treatment plant (2.1 MGD). With surging water demand due to service area expansion, U.S. Water played a crucial role in collaborating with the City and their engineering partner, guiding the design, construction, start-up, commissioning, and ongoing operation of the lime softening and reverse osmosis water treatment facilities.
