Third Excavator Rodeo Shows Team Spirit

A fun and much-anticipated employee event, U.S. Water recently conducted our 3rd Annual Excavator Rodeo. With nearly 50 contestants, employees worked through a series of challenges which included: 1) Picking up a bucket full of water and placing it on top of a pedestal without spilling; 2) Placing a pipe on a chain into the proper canal; and 3) Knocking four tennis balls off traffic cones without touching the cones. The competition was scored based on flawless execution and quickest time. Contestants were cheered on by their fellow coworkers. The title of Champion Mini Excavator Operator went to James Kindred, who was rewarded with an Igloo cooler filled with prizes. Prize packages were also awarded to 2nd place finisher Dalton Tiner and 3rd place Thai Watts.

Every contestant received a goodie bag and was also entered into a raffle of donated items from local vendors. Some of the prizes included a $500 gift card donated by MG Electrical Developers Inc., a gaming monitor, Yeti coolers, a Google Nest, an Amazon tablet, sporting event tickets, a fishing pole, a drone, and a custom corn hole set.

The event was a huge success, and U.S. Water’s employees enjoyed the time socializing with their coworkers and having a friendly competition. The quality bonding time is highly beneficial for the company as it enhances our employees’ teamwork and spirit. We are so thankful to have such a motivated team and a supportive U.S. Water family.
